High Spirits - Northwest Signature

This is my first High Spirits flute. I was curious about their signature series - the larger bore and tonality is great. Extremely responsive and very fun to play. Have family in the Northwest, so I had to bring some of the NW to Tennessee. Love the flute and it’s design.

I live in Oregon and had my eye on a High Spirits Northwest Spirit Signature Flute for years, but just couldn't quite convince myself that I "needed" it. When I saw one (a mid-G) on the Pre-Owned Flute page, I knew I had to buy it. It is perfect! Like most mid-range High Spirits flutes, it has a lovely tone and a great high register. This is a true treasure! I was so glad to find a copy of the DVD. My very first flute was made by Hawk Littlejohn, whom I met back in 1997. I was very happy to see so much video of him in the video as he only left one cassette tape of music (The Long Human Being) as his legacy - well, plus a whole bunch of flutes that he made.

I love this dryer! It performs well, and helps me keep playing the same flute much longer.
It has a nice long cable enabling me to place it wherever I want it.
I also really like its “organic” look: the finish of the sides of the box are rustic yet elegant… it fits and reflects the spirit of the Native American Flute!

I'm Jonny, with over 20 years of experience with the Native flute. As a community builder, an award-winning educator and recording artist, I pour my heart into teaching at our Horizons Flute School and curating the finest products for our store.

Maria, my better half, is the super-organizer who ensures your orders are handled with care and shipped on time. With her background in therapeudic recreation, she loves helping people and ensures you have the best possible shopping experience with us.
